I-Ching, the "Book of Changes", is the ancient book and earliest known intuitive decision-making system. Based on the binary logic of yin/yang, it is used to derive personal strategy and insights based on natural wisdom -- as pertaining to human problems that logic alone cannot handle. The basic assumption put forth by the I Ching is that change (action) is not an isolated phenomenon but, in fact, affects every other facet of existence synchronistically.

The I Ching reading is challenging to interpret, precisly because they paint a very complete picture of Interpretation: I Ching readings can be challenging to interpret, precisely because they paint a very complete picture of the situation. Notably, each of the 6 lines of the reading describes a specific individual, and the outcome of their endeavor. This is what makes the I Ching so unique and powerful - where Tarot or Runes may give you an understanding of your circumstances, the I Ching actually gives you an understanding of your OPTIONS. You will find the I Ching easier to interpret if you consider that it was written in ancient China, and think of the more peculiar expressions in that context.

The I ching, a philosophical system based upon higher mathematics and principles of quantum physics, consist of 64 hexagram that are made of two kinds of lines ___ and yielding broken lines:_ _. These hexagram can be further broken into groups of three lines called "Trigram". The hexagram of the I Ching are arranged in two sequences. First one is the arrangement of Eleventh-Century father of calculus, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, to the discovery of a functioning binary system. The second sequence is known as King Wen Sequence. It is the oldest way of arranging the hexagram and represents the sequence in which they appear in the I Ching.

Beyond its regard for human affair, the I Ching was first used to measured time and the seasons, investgate phenomena in nature, and regulate the line forms used for food. By building a six-line hexagram with the six fall of the coins and referring to its text in the I Ching, you are participating in the world's oldest continuing system of divination.
